If you subscribe to the TMT Explorer, you already know that I dedicated July to exploring Los Angeles (where I live). Here’s a quick tour of what went down this past month while staying local as told though my instagram photos.
This was a #Latergram from my April trip to Il San Pietro in Positano Italy (read more about it here and here) that I found it buried in my iPhone photo library. It was taken during a wine, cheese, pasta, and seafood filled lunch at Carlino, Il San Pietro’s beachside restaurant.
I kicked off my 4th of July with a hike in the Santa Monica Mountain above the Pacific Ocean. This is now one of my favorite hikes in the Los Angeles area (here’s a map directing you to the trailhead). Here are four more of my picks for best hikes around LA.
Held every Thursday night during the summer, the Yamashiro Farmers Market is one of my favorite places to meet up with friends. Order a beer or a bottle of wine from the Yamashiro Grill stall, compile a dinner from the visiting food vendors, then grab a seat and watch the sunset over Hollywood.
On a recent Saturday, a few friends and I went down to Newport Beach in Orange County and took a two hour guided stand up paddle tour. I’ll be writing a Perfect Day article about it soon. For other Perfect Day articles, click here and here.
I’m going to keep you guessing on this one. It’s part of a travel video I shot which will be coming out sometime in August — stay tuned. Regarding the giraffe, I’ve since used him to scare the sh*t out of my roommates on multiple occasions (walking into a dark room or opening a closet with him in it is apparently pretty startling).
This photo was taken at the Griffith Observatory, one of my favorite places in LA. It also never disappoints in the instagram department (ie. it’s pretty easy to take epic photos here).
There’s nothing like a Sunday spent relaxing by a pool.
On a recent Friday I took a few friends on a self guided brewery tour of Los Angeles. We visited three of the city’s best breweries, which are conveniently located in relatively close proximity to one and other. Find out everything you need to know to visit these breweries for yourself right here.
