TRAVEL STYLE: WARM & WELL-MADE (ICELAND)
Everything about Iceland captivates me. Its place, isolated in the North Atlantic. Its geography, beautiful and raw. When I see scenic photos of Iceland I feel like I’m looking back in time to an untouched world in its natural state. One such photo recently caught my eye. Taken by Peter Baker, this photo captures a simple Icelandic hill-scape, but also a human element — a small A-frame cabin.
Naturally I spent a few minutes daydreaming and picturing myself in this scene. I really get into my travel daydreams so I thought of a few items I’d need for when I actually find myself here in real life. Since the Icelandic landscape is tough, simple, and solid, these items would have to be too.
Sweater: District Half Button Jumper by Barbour
Shirt: Dalton Shirt by Barbour
Barbour, a company with a long history of making solid and reliable clothing that can stand up to the elements, is a natural fit.
Shoes: Men’s Earthkeepers Original Leather 6-inch Boot by Timberland
Timberland = boots. These things are built to take on terrain and get beat up.
Backpack: Washed Cotton Rucksack by Fred Perry
I’d be spending hours wandering around those hills, so a well-constructed cotton, leather, and metal backpack from Fred Perry would hold my camera and water bottle just fine.
