MONTANA’S THE RESORT AT PAWS UP: PHOTO ESSAY + VLOG
As a child, there’s a strong chance you pretended, at least once, that you were a cowboy (or cowgirl). You imagined wide open spaces, riding horses, roping cattle, meals cooked over a campfire, endless adventure and sleeping under the stars. Now that you’re an adult…you still day dream about the exact same things (at least I still do). Well, maybe now that you’re an adult you think about a few more creature comforts when plotting how to turn your wild west fantasy into a wild west reality. For that, there’s The Resort at Paws Up.
I just returned from a long weekend in Montana spent at The Resort at Paws Up, a luxury 37,000 acre working cattle ranch in the southwestern corner of the state. Known for their luxury camping tents (think: full bathrooms, heating, comfortable beds), Paws Up is the American version of a luxury African safari. You’ll spend your days out exploring the property, whether on foot, horse, ATV or raft and return to gourmet meals and amazing accommodations. I visited to attend Montana Master Chefs, a weekend long culinary event (you can learn all about it in this TMT article), as well as to cram in as much adventure possible into this 3 day trip.
Below is a vlog I put together on the experience. Below that are just a few photos taken along the way. Enjoy.

Perhaps the world’s most picture perfect picnic table.

Even cloudy days in Montana are still amazing.
Along the Blackfoot River, 10 miles of which runs through The Resort at Paws Up’s property.

Lets move cows!

A pitstop during my ATV trip. A serene portion of the Blackfoot River.

Keeping my shotgun bullets by my side.
Making may way through The Resort at Paws Up’s multi-station shooting range. I hit two clays with one bullet…three times in a row (brushes shoulders off).
And one more of that incredible picnic table.
